Assumptions, formula & source

Fixed annual rate, monthly reducing balance and equal month-end payments. Excludes fees, insurance, taxes and rate changes; this is not a lender quote.

EMI = P × r ÷ [1 − (1 + r)^−n], where r = annual rate ÷ 12. At 0%, EMI = P ÷ n.

CONTEXT BEHIND THE CALCULATION

Useful numbers.
Clear assumptions.

Change one input at a time to see what affects the result. A model can help you prepare better questions; it cannot replace an assessment of your complete financial position.

01 / BORROWING

Look beyond the EMI.

A longer term can reduce the monthly payment while increasing the overall interest. Compare total repayment alongside the monthly commitment.

02 / INVESTING

Keep the assumptions visible.

The SIP illustration uses a constant return to show a calculation. Real investments fluctuate, costs matter and past performance does not assure future returns.

03 / BUSINESS CASH FLOW

Understand the timing.

Stock, collections and supplier terms affect when cash leaves and returns to a business. Seasonal peaks and existing liquidity need a more detailed review.

Bring the whole cost into view.

Explore invoice advances, financing charges, landed costs and exchange-rate movements. Use your own transaction assumptions, then confirm the actual terms before committing.

BEFORE YOU PLAN

A few useful answers.

01Which planning calculators can I use here?

There are 18 tools across borrowing, investing, business and trade. Explore loan EMI, repayment budgets, prepayment, SIP growth, lump-sum growth, savings goals, fixed deposits, inflation, retirement, working capital, break-even, debt-service coverage, invoice discounting, trade-finance costs, landed costs, foreign-exchange scenarios, margins and cash runway. All monetary results use Indian rupees.

02What ranges do the calculators cover?

Amounts go up to ₹5,000 crore and interest or return rates up to 38% a year. Sliders move through round amounts and whole-number rates and periods. To model an exact figure, such as 8.65% or ₹23,45,000, type it into the box beside the slider.

03Do the trade calculators use live exchange rates or customs rates?

No. Exchange rates, duties, surcharges, taxes and financing charges are assumptions you enter. The landed-cost tool uses a simplified CIF-based model and does not determine tariff classification, exemptions, official valuation or input-tax credits. Confirm actual rates and treatment with the relevant provider or professional.

04How is the monthly EMI calculated?

The EMI calculator uses a fixed nominal annual interest rate divided by 12 and a monthly reducing balance. Payments occur at the end of each month. At 0% interest, the loan amount is divided equally across the selected months. Fees, insurance, taxes, prepayments and rate changes are excluded; a lender’s final repayment schedule may differ.

05Are the SIP calculator returns guaranteed?

No. The SIP tool is a hypothetical illustration using contributions at each month-end and a constant nominal annual return divided by 12, compounded monthly. This differs from entering an effective annual return or XIRR. Actual markets fluctuate, losses are possible, and neither invested capital nor returns are guaranteed. The illustration excludes fees, taxes and inflation.

06What does the working-capital estimate include?

The tool estimates cash-cycle days as inventory days plus customer collection days minus supplier payment days. It multiplies the positive cycle by annual cash operating costs divided by 365. This simplified estimate assumes even costs. It excludes seasonality, existing cash and facilities, taxes and capital expenditure, and is not a balance-sheet working-capital calculation or lending limit.

07Are my calculator inputs sent to Invade Enterprise?

These calculators run in your browser. Their inputs are not submitted to Invade Enterprise. Save on this device stores one scenario in this browser's local storage, where it can be restored later. Download creates a text summary on your device. No account or contact details are required.
